Event Description:
Mary William, RN PHN MA, will be speaking on the Carver County SHOC (Saving Hearts in Our Communities) Program. This is a county wide Automatic External Defibrillator program. The presentation will include information regarding the registry of AED's in Carver County, the connection to the 911 system, how businesses can be involved in both of those. She will provide information on CPR trainings and highlight the Friends and Family CPR kitt in an effort to increase the number of CPR trained individual in Carver County. This training does not provide attendees with a certificate but the information provided and the demonstration will help people be ready for emergency situations. Heart failure can occur in the work place, on the golf course, or in your family home.
